🌀 Life on Repeat, but with Purpose
How a Quiet Routine, AI Tools, and Sunday Resets Are Fueling My Growth
These days, life truly feels like it’s on repeat — and I know I’ve said something like this many times in the past.
A lot of my Instagram captions go something like:
“sleep, eat, workout, repeat”
…but it’s just really true.
☀️ Another Week, Another Dolla
Sundays are my rest and reset days.
We still try to do something fun in the mornings, but I spend the rest of the day posting my weekly step count update along with a bunch of other random stories, writing two update emails (one personal, one for business), and planning for the week ahead.
Then Monday comes. Never know what to expect. It feels like the week is going to drag on… and suddenly, Monday’s over.
Tuesday comes, and it feels like we’re still stuck in the first half of the week — not even at the halfway point.
Next thing you know, Wednesday’s over, Thursday flies by, and Friday comes. We try to log off a little early on Fridays and let out a big sigh of relief that we made it.
Saturday — the world is our oyster.
We usually don’t have plans. It’s our spontaneous, eat-out day, and our one true free day.
But Saturday quickly comes to an end, and every single week, we say:
“Where hath the weekend gonneth?”
And, back to Sunday.
Sundays have become one of the most important days of the week for clarity and preparation. Even though it kind of makes the weekend feel short, but it’s important.
🧘 Super Consistency = Peace
We’ve been traveling way less this year compared to last, and that’s helped us build a consistent schedule.
That consistency has been everything — creating a routine we can trust, with fewer external disruptions.
Of course, I still try to find time to do something fun or spontaneous now and then… but honestly, I almost prefer when there’s nothing too crazy happening.
Is it good for my social life?
Probably not.
Is it good for my mental sanity?
Yes. It’s bringing me a lot of peace.
📈 Business Focus: The Five A’s of Q3
For Q3, we’re focusing on what I call the Five A’s (because I love a little alliteration):
Audit, AI, Automate, Ask, and Annotate
We’re examining both personal and business processes and seeing where we can fill gaps to optimize and streamline.
As we prepare to grow, onboard more customers, and expand our team, we decided to take one more slower quarter to lock in our internal processes — saving time and laying the foundation for a strong launch.
That said… it’s also possible that I’m secretly procrastinating on the scary part:
Outreach
Sales calls
Hiring
Onboarding
Contract negotiations
And another violent change to our day-to-day…
But honestly, we've always learned to adapt to our environment. It's just a matter of ripping off the band-aid and going for it because we're going to make it out successfully on the other end.
📹 New Tools: OpusClip + Automations
Along the lines of Automations, you might start to see more of me out there on the internet.
I’m discovering more AI tools, automations, and software to streamline both te personal and business brand promotion.
One tool I’m particularly amazed about is OpusClip.
I finally figured out how all those social media entrepreneurs are pumping out short-form teaser clips from their podcasts and long-form videos.
They all use OpusClip.
OpusClips basically clips, edits, and pumps out 30 videos for you, using AI — it’s kind of amazing.
Of course, I got the annual subscription (they had a 50% off deal and the medium tier cost less than the lowest one 👀).
💳 Subscription Audit Time
Speaking of software, I really need to audit my subscriptions and create a better process around payments and cancellations.
I often give Christine a hard time for buying stuff and not using it (and then missing the return window).
But this one bible verse has been very relevant this year.
“Take the plank out of your own eye before you pick the speck out of someone else’s.” — Matthew 7:5
I’m buying cameras, courses, and software and letting those sit and get stale. And the costs are stacking up.
Same thing with credit card annual fees — another thing I really need to audit and annotate in our systems.
🏃♂️ Marathon Training Begins (Soft Launch)
Lastly, marathon training has subtly begun.
My current goal is to run 3x per week.
Tuesdays & Thursdays – running back from the dog park (eventually, I might start running to and from the dog park)
Saturdays – a slightly longer run, whether it’s distance or elevation
3 runs per week feels like a healthy balance I can maintain while still finding time to work out 4 times a week.
I've gotten much better about listening to my body, resting as necessary, and getting enough sleep and nutrients. So I'm hoping that my health isn't too volatile for this marathon preparation.
It's funny, now that Strava is a lot more of an active social media platform than it was back in 2019, check me out on Strava!
